March 2021 Board News

A message from the President:
Greetings TOSA Members,
This year is flying by and Spring is just around the corner! To kick-off this transition of the seasons, we are partnering with the Surface Officers' Spouses group to bring you the 1st Annual Mermaid Hunt on March 20th. This event is open to all officers' spouses in the Hampton Roads area, so please spread the word amongst your respective communities. More information can be found on the 'Events' tab of the TOSA website. Membership in either group is not required.

The Tidewater Collection Boutiques blow out sale continues this month with discounts on Maple Leaf cutting boards and any item with an anchor on it. There will also be an appreciation discount for our volunteers and any TOSA member, so be sure to check it out. All proceeds go to local charities that support military families in the Hampton Roads area. We are so close to meeting our goal for this year, but we still need your help. If you, or someone you know, would like to donate to our mission you may do so by clicking the link below or visiting our website. 

Finally, March is a time for fresh beginnings, so if you have been thinking of starting a new adventure why not volunteer for one of our boards. Both TOSA and Tidewater Collection are seeking nominations for board positions. Contact our Parliamentarian for more information.

Hello TOSA Members! I love the hints of Spring weather we have been getting lately. The month of March we have some exciting events happening! On March 19th join us for Irish Stories and Spirits, a podcast event with a mixology twist. TOSA is partnering with SOS of Norfolk for a Mermaid Hunt on March 20th. Want to Make Sure Your Favorite Pages Show Up In Your Facebook Feed? Here's How!
If you want to keep seeing the content from a particular page on your News Feed, but it's not happening, here's how to do it.
1. Go directly to the page you want to follow.
2. Click the three dots next to the message button, and click "following." 
3. Follow settings will pop-up, and the first option will be "News Feed" to customize your news feed.
4. To the right of the "News Feed" is a blue button that probably says "default" - click that button and select "Favorites" once it shows up. 
Making the page one of your favorites will make sure you receive posts from that page first in your News Feed, so you won't miss updates from that particular page.
