Chief Petty Officer Scholarship Fund
Our mission is to be a viable non-profit organization established solely for the purpose of generating and distributing funds to provide educational opportunities for qualified family members of United States Navy Chief Petty Officers. Candidates eligible for scholarship awards are non-uniformed spouses and dependent children (natural born, adopted or stepchildren) of all Chief Petty Officers of the United States Navy. |

COMPASS
COMPASS focuses on spouses new to the Navy; however, all spouses are welcome. COMPASS improves the quality of life through education, enabling spouses to understand, experience, and meet the Navy lifestyle’s challenges. With this knowledge and realistic expectations, their journeys can be successful and rewarding.Participants are introduced to many aspects of the Navy. The standardized curriculum includes need-to-know topics such as the Navy mission, history, organization, customs and traditions, rights and benefits, deployment, pay, moving, interpersonal communication, and investing in self and community. Another important benefit of COMPASS is the opportunity for spouses to establish a peer network. Because experienced spouses pass on their Navy lifestyle insights, the concept of "helping others to help themselves" is clearly observable and becomes an ongoing action-oriented process. Dolphin Scholarship Foundation
The Dolphin Scholarship Foundation was established in 1960 with the first scholarship of $350 awarded to John L. Haines, Jr. in June 1961. Funds were raised through the efforts of submarine officers' wives' organizations throughout the United States. DSF continues to receive strong financial support from submarine spouse organizations and the submarine community as well as support from individuals, corporations, memorial gifts, and Combined Federal Campaign. Donations go directly to support scholarships; income from DSF investments supplement these contributions for scholarships and operating expenses. Dolphin Scholarship Foundation also conducts fundraisers such as the Annual Cartoon Calendar (since 1963), Annual Golf Tournaments, virtual submarine races, and the "Pride Runs Deep" pin designed by Ann Hand. |
Fisher House
Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military & veterans families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital. These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world. Fisher Houses have up to 21 suites, with private bedrooms and baths. Families share a common kitchen, laundry facilities, a warm dining room, and an inviting living room. Since inception, the program has saved military and veterans’ families an estimated $500 million in out of pocket costs for lodging and transportation. FOCUS
FOCUS (Families OverComing Under Stress) provides resilience training to military children, families, and couples. It teaches practical skills to help families and couples overcome common challenges related to a military life. It helps build on current strengths and teach new strategies to enhance communication and problem solving, goal setting and creating a shared family story. |

National Military Family Association
NMFA has stood behind service members, their spouses, and their children for 50 years. Our Association is the “go to” source for Administration Officials, Members of Congress, and key decision makers when they want to understand the issues facing military families. They know NMFA has “boots on the ground” with military families and understand better than anyone that “military families serve, too.” Through the support and programs NMFA provides, and their respected voice on Capitol Hill and with the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs, this Association always looks out for the families who stand behind the uniform and for those who serve. |
Naval Services FamilyLine
Naval Services FamilyLine is a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to serving naval spouses around the world. Our network of experienced, trained volunteer spouses allows us to mentor, consult, and guide families in the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. With the right information, having a spouse in the service can be a unique and memorable time, but without the proper preparedness and resources, this journey can be challenging. To meet the challenge, Naval Services FamilyLine has developed publications and specialized courses that will provide spouses with a forum to dispel myths, answer questions, and alleviate fears. |

The School Liaison Officer’s primary function is to serve as a conduit between parents, educators and the command so that military-connected children experience a seamless transition during the transfer between schools. Knowing that many military children move an average of every 2.9 years, School Liaison Officers can provide families with educational information to assist them as they begin their PCS planning. |
Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society
The mission of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is to provide, in partnership with the Navy and Marine Corps, financial, educational, and other assistance to members of the Naval Service of the United States, eligible family members, and survivors when in need; and to receive and manage funds to administer these programs. As a non-profit, volunteer service organization, NMCRS uses both financial and non-financial resources to identify solutions to meet emerging needs. Navy Wounded Warrior
Navy Wounded Warrior provides Sailors and Coast Guardsmen, as well as their families, with non-medical care while they are recovering from serious illness or injury. Regional non-medical care providers tailor support to each enrolled service member’s recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration needs. The program allows service members and their families to focus on recovery without distractions. |

All children receiving special education are entitled to a free appropriate public education. The data shows there are systemic problems with special education for military families across the US and the trend is many school systems are not providing the required standards of education. So, we created the P.R.O.M.I.S.E. Act. |
